This tour explores one of the most remote and rarely traveled areas of the Tonto National Forest, guided by professional, CPR‑certified guides licensed by the U.S. Forest Service—a level of access few operators can offer. You’ll travel historic mining routes, cross Ash Creek Canyon, and hike into Moon Canyon, an otherworldly landscape shaped by rock and sand compressed over millions of years. The route includes boulder scrambles, creek crossings, shaded pools, wildlife viewing, and hidden geological features most visitors never discover on their own. Our upgraded off‑road vehicles feature cooling misters for comfort, and guests enjoy cold waters and sodas after the hike.
