Wixárika Indigenous Blessing: Sacred Walk in Nature

4.9 · 14 Reviews

Overview

The Wixárika people are one of the Indigenous cultures originating in western Mexico, recognized for their profound spiritual relationship with nature, the land, and their ancestors. Their knowledge, ceremonies, symbols, and traditions have been passed down from generation to generation, keeping an important biocultural heritage alive. You will take part in a Wixárika Blessing Walk, guided by Santos Hernández (White Deer), a local spiritual guide, where knowledge and tradition are shared in an authentic and respectful way. During the journey, you will visit four sacred sites, each with its own meaning within the Wixárika worldview. There, you will not only learn about their relationship with the land and the spirit, but also participate in practices that honor the connection between nature, community, spirituality, and life.
