Bizen Pottery Walking Tour with Local Guide & Flexible Options
5.0 · 5 Reviews

Overview
Discover Bizen ware through a private tour tailored to your interests. Before your visit, I’ll ask what you’re most curious about—wood firing, pottery techniques, contemporary artists, galleries, or finding a special piece to take home—and shape the tour around you. We’ll explore Imbe, the heart of Bizen ware, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns. Depending on your interests and the day, we may visit historic kiln sites, Amatsu Shrine, galleries, pottery shops, working kilns, or studios. For a deeper experience, visits or hands-on sessions with experienced Bizen potters may also be arranged when available (additional fees may apply). Whether you’re completely new to Japanese pottery, a collector, or a ceramic artist yourself, this is a flexible, personal way to go beyond sightseeing and understand Bizen ware more deeply.
