Regensburg Walking Tour in English - Stories and Hidden Corners
5.0 · 2 Reviews

Overview
Regensburg has been my home for many years, and over time I’ve come to know the city not only through its history, but through everyday life. I love discovering the stories behind its beautiful buildings, quiet corners and lively squares—and sharing them with people who are seeing Regensburg for the first time. On this walking tour, we’ll explore the heart of Regensburg’s Old Town, from its Roman beginnings to its medieval heritage. We’ll visit some of the city’s best-known landmarks, including the Stone Bridge, St. Peter’s Cathedral, Porta Praetoria and the Old Town Hall, while also looking beyond the obvious sights. Along the way, I’ll tell you the stories behind the places we visit—stories of Roman soldiers, medieval merchants, emperors, religion, trade and everyday life. We’ll also explore lesser-known corners and details that are easy to miss when walking through the city on your own.
