It is located on a hill dotted with a group of stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars that are of importance to Buddhists. Later visit Udaigiri Caves - a historical Hindu ritual site. Udayagiri that literally means the 'mountain of the sunrise' consists of a substantial U-shaped plateau immediately next to the River Bes.
