Overview
Explore Astoria and Warrenton with a local guide on this approximately three-hour tour. Discover Astoria’s history, waterfront, historic homes, landmarks, and movie locations, then visit coastal highlights such as the Peter Iredale shipwreck at Fort Stevens and the Columbia River South Jetty. In Hammond, see the filming location of the famous whale-jump scene from Free Willy. Visit the Astoria Column with the option to climb its 164 steps and launch an included wooden glider plane. Along the way, enjoy local stories and recommendations for dining, shopping, and exploring after your tour. Regular tours run Monday–Friday at 2:00 PM, with pickup and drop-off within Astoria city limits. Cruise guests normally meet one hour after their ship docks at our designated location outside the secured port area. I’ll text you the day before with your exact meeting time and directions. Routes and stops may vary with weather, tides, access, and group interests.
