Overview
Everyone deserves a day in paradise, and Barbados truly lives up to its name. Begin your journey with a visit to the street where international superstar Rihanna once lived, where you’ll see the exterior of her former home. Continue along the scenic East Coast, stopping at Cherry Tree Hill for breathtaking views before visiting Morgan Lewis Windmill, one of the world’s top 100 most endangered historic sites. Descend through Cattlewash and pause in Bathsheba, home to the famous Soup Bowl and renowned for its natural beauty. Continue to St. John’s Church, one of Barbados’ oldest churches, perched dramatically on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Travel through St. George before arriving at the Garrison Historic Area, established by the British in 1705. The Garrison holds special significance as the site where Barbados’ independence flag was raised on November 30, 1966. Conclude with a drive through Bridgetown, the capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before returning to the port.
