Malang: Pickup around 3:00 PM. Surabaya: Pickup by 5:00 PM from your hotel or train station. At Bromo, leave before dawn for sunrise over the vast caldera, then hike to the active crater. Continue to Kawah Ijen for a night ascent, blue flames, sulfur miners, and sunrise over its spectacular turquoise crater lake.
