Overview

This trip offers a rare opportunity to explore the working waterways of Lake Lothing and Oulton Broad from the water, combining maritime history, industry and hidden local sights. Depending on harbour activity, travellers may see vessels operated by organisations such as CEFAS and Border Force alongside offshore wind support vessels, fishing boats and other commercial craft. The journey also visits several historic wreck sites and passes important maritime landmarks that are rarely viewed from this perspective. Unlike our high speed coastal experiences, this is a slower paced sightseeing trip focused on exploration and local history, and can usually operate in a wide range of weather conditions. Please note that scheduled times are departure times and guests must arrive 30 minutes before departure for check in and boarding.
