Begin at Yatsushiro Shrine, a historic shrine closely connected to the region's cultural traditions. Continue to Yatsushiro Castle Ruins, where you can explore the remains of a former castle, including its stone walls and moat. Next, visit Shohinken Garden, a beautiful traditional Japanese garden associated with the Matsui family, who once governed the area. If time permits, stop at Mizushima Ryujin Shrine, a small coastal shrine known for its scenic waterfront setting, before returning to Yatsushiro Port.
